Log in issues

If you experiencing difficulties with logging in, we advise you to clear your web browser cookies for the iRecord website. Information on how to clear cookies is available online - try searching for guidance related to the web browser you use, or try this helpful page from University of Iowa that lists most commonly used browsers.

Reset your password

For anyone who has an iRecord user account, and is not logged in to that account, passwords can be reset from the "Forgot Password?" link on the iRecord home page, which takes you to:

Step 1 - Fill in your user name, or the email address that you used to register on iRecord, then complete the "Captcha" test, and click "Submit":

Step 2 - You should receive an email in your inbox. (If it doesn't arrive, please check any spam folder that you may have.) The email contains a link that you should click on to reset your password:

Step 3 - When you click on the link in the email, it should open up an iRecord web page headed "Reset password". Click on the blue "Log in" button:

Step 4 - you will be asked to choose your new password:

Step 5 - type in your password in the "Password" box, and then repeat it in the "Confirm password" box:

Step 6 - click on the blue "Save and log in" button, and you should see confirmation that the password change has been saved:


You are now logged in with your new password. If you log out, you should use the new password to log back in.
