How do I...? and other questions

Hi there. I am trying to set up an Activity for all plant and wildlife records along a long-distance walking route, the Ayrshire Coastal Path.

I initially drew up the route very roughly - aiming to allow records from ~500m inland and up to ~1k out to sea (not sure if this is necessary).

It was brilliant to have a list of records generated so quickly. However, these were seriously skewed, with over 80% moth records. It appears that the way I have drawn the map includes one or more gardens with serious moth trappers!

I uploaded external key but it does not display on the gridview - and cannot seem to choose that field for display.

I would like any iRecord user to be able to explore the data in a private activity, but not to be able to enter records. I have set the activity to be private and then, in the Forms section, selected "Available to anyone" for the "Explore Activity Data". However, non-members can't even find the group when they Browse or Search for activities. Has anyone else managed to do this successfully?

I seem to be required to add the STAGE field (extensive from controlled term list)

Can you tell me what values are appropriate?

I have tried 1 and A but they are rejected.

Does not seem to cover this in the user guide.

Is it possible to share a filter that I have created. I am interested in plant galls, however as gall causers are from a wide range of taxonomic groups they are not easy to locate on iRecord. One possible way around this is to create a filter based on the genus of the gallers. Some non-gallers would be filtered but putting species in would be very time consuming. This is not an insignificant task and would only make sense if the filter could be shared with others. Any ideas?

Is there a way of selecting a series of notifications and marking them all as being read, rather than having to do it individually?

Is there a limit on the number of photos that can be uploaded with a record?  I recently posted a record of a dragonfly exuvium with four pictures but when subsequently exploring my records I noticed that only three of the photos are actually displayed.  I tried to edit the record and it seemingly accepted the re-posting of the missing photo but in record explorer mode the picture is still missing.  Is there a limit on the number of photos or is the limit on the amount of memory (I.e. can you upload more photos if the file sizes are smaller?).  TIA

I changed my name (legally, and on my iRecord account) a few years back, but I am still getting emails addressed to my old name.

Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to close my account and make a new one?
