How do I...? and other questions

I am working with Vale Landscape Heritage Trust (a charity) to create a list of records for each of their 18 sites. I have created an activity, which includes a polygon for each of the 18 sites (listed under 'My sites'). We are trying to use the map to see what records fall under the sites, but there are 3 or 4 sensitive records which cover the map with blue squares and prevent us from accessing the records underneath, of which have more precise locations.

Hi there, first time inputting anything on here hopefully this is just a quick one someone can answer. I'm trying to input a list of data I recently got moth trapping using the 'enter a list of moth recording'...on the tab of 'what did you see' I can't seem to get the list of species to appear. Typing out a full species name myself doesn't work as it still wont allow me to add any photos.

I have set up an Activity (KWACS - Kirtlington Biological Records) to gather all records submitted to iRecord within my local parish boundary.  It has been set up to automatically capture records whether recorders are members or not  and irrespective of how recorders submit records.  It has captured over 5200 records to date.

I am new to iRecord and I can't find any mention of how big your photos can be. Can someone tell me a) maximum kb/MB per photo and b) maximum number of pixels on the longest side?

I have a number of photos "ready" for adding - these are 300-400kb with a fixed longest side of max 1000 pixels. Would that be okay?

I have had a couple of cleaner notifications for species outside known range - I'm reasonably confident of my ID and open to expert input but can't see a clear way to address the notification. 


I also had some very helpful feedback from a recorder on a species outside of my comfort zone and would like to send thanks but can't see how to do this either!

I'm trying to import data from a spreadsheet into the LNHS activity. I keep getting the error: 'Please specify a value for the Recorder Name'. What does it mean? My typed name doesn't work. I tried using my Indica Warehouse User ID which also doesn't work.

Is there a way to combine two or more squares for a Site. For instance a park of interest may spill over one 1km square into another and iRecord current lets me choose only one square. Thanks - Neil

This is my first time using this forum.

I recently submitted a record of Clover Melitta bee (Melitta leporina) outside of its known range and soon after was presented with a notification saying something along the lines of 'this record cannot be accepted unless it is from a known recorder'. My question is, what makes a recorder a 'known recorder'? And how could one go about becoming a known recorder?

Some records I entered on the App are showing at the wrong location - although I entered the correct grid ref at the time (and it has been, bizarrely, recorded correctly in a second gridref_calculated field), it appears to have geolocated to and, set it the "actual" location, to the current location. I dont seem to be able to edit the spatial ref of these records. See eg 28262556. How can I edit these records so they are in the right place?

Hi - Ive just noticed Ive been copying a misspelling of a location into some records - I now have 170 records I need to correct which will be time consuming to do one at a time - is there a way to do a bulk update?
