I'm trying to do something I thought would be simple. I wan to view all records on the map so I can see where in my general locality there might be areas where no-one is recording, which might be interesting to visit and do some recording. Apart from the fact that the map is excruciatingly slow to load and the detail keeps vanishing when I zoom in and out, it's virtually impossible to do what I want to do as there are a few records where someoone who does not know how to use the national grid system has recorded something in a whole km square, or in one case a 10 km square!
Hi was wondering if survey summaries for ( butterfly app 2023) is going to be added to Irecord as in
Hi! Could someone please tell me what the word sensitive with a red exclamation mark at the side of the entry means please, I can’t find a explanation for this in the help section at all. Thank you in advance
Hello!
Just looking to pick the brains of the general community. I have recently started a new post which will involve survey of local sites. I really like iRecord and wouild like our new data collection to feed through it as a system. My previous post was with a LERC where i had some experience of using Indicia to design datasets and front end forms.
I guess my question is can anyone suggest the best approach, what do others do?
Is it just me or are others also suffering very slow performance of iRecord? In the past I would start typing in a species name and the choice of species to select would be there almost immediately. But now I can be sat here waiting for several seconds at a time and this makes entering records very. The other day the servers were taking so long to reply that I was ending up with a message that the site had not responded in time. To me it seems the performance is heading downhill and getting worse.
I have just entered a record for Scotch Argus, Erebia aethiops, and then looked at 'Accepted as correct records only' where the are THREE identical records all showing the same photograph. It makes a mockery of the whole recording scheme.
It has just been brought to my attention that I may be causing duplicate records - recording both on iRecord and iNaturalist. I had been partly using iNaturalist as a way to check / verify some identifications before recording here - however if this causes duplicate this is obvioulsy not desirable (I have different "names" on each platform too). The particular record where this was flagged up was a Merodon equestris - so is this applicable ACROSS SPECIES? Any info / suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks, Mac.
I was wondering if you can make it possible for me to add Neotiella albocincta after recently receiving confirmation that this is the first British specimen found - any hely would be grand.

Evening
I entered a casual record yesterday and on reviewing it noted the Vice county cell did not represent North Wiltshire. I went back to edit mode and did not find the cell to enter it manually. Has anyone else encountered this and if so what is the solution please?
Thank you for your time
