I want to add a record for Timaspis sonchi (Cynipid wasp, gall causer on Sonchus species) but I can't add the record because the only Timaspis species available are T. lampsanae and T. lusitanica . Can T. sonchi be added to the species list so that I can log the record?

A Chartered Environmental Scientist has undertaken an Ancient Woodland Indicator species survey on 2 dates this spring.

I have submitted this survey onto iRecord.  

What are the next steps I /:others (eg Sussex Biodiversity Centre need to take) in order to get it officially recognised as Ancient Woodland.

As will be apparent from this message I’m not IT savvy. I’ve just downloaded the new app to my android phone and uploaded some records. However, they are not appearing on this site. Is the time lag considerably greater or is there no connection between the two which would be odd and presumably not correct?

Please can you help. It's been about a week where the irecord logging webpage (not App) seems to freeze in the middle of putting data on. There is also;issues sometimes where it actually seems to NOT freeze but does not appear in the data (even after the15mins). Has there been changes we should be aware of?

There is current trend on iNaturalist to us the name Forficula dentata for all UK earwig records. However, this name doesn't exist in the iRecord taxonomy so some observations are not getting through to iRecord. I would be interested to know if this change has been accepted by the UK community. If so, will it result in a change to the iRecord taxonomy and when. 

This may have been posted previously. If so, please direct me to the discussion.

Is it still possible to access the old record browser, there used to be a link from the Explore-My Records section.  I liked it because it was quicker than the new one.

Hello. I've been going out and surveying local rivers to me for Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) , making a unique record for every 15 steps following the river flow, where I find Balsam. No quadrats, just checking for it's presence. I imagine it's tedious for the reviewers and it's fairly tedious to do it this way. I've received training with the Eden Rivers Trust on identifying it/tackling it and am very confident about this species in particular. 

Yesterday I started entering data then realised I had not transferred the photos from my phone to my pc.

I minimised irecord transferred my photos then went back to data entry. I spent another couple of hours entering data only to find it wouldn’t save it! This happened once before but I hadn’t spent so long entering data. Soooo frustrated, got to start all over again!

I wondered if after a certain amount of time not adding an entry irecord stopped its connection although I was still able to enter data?

Not sure where to ask this, but perhaps someone here will know!

There are some iRecord sightings that haven't filtered through to the Targeting Revisits site (specifically for the ladybirds). On 24th March, I recorded 12 species in one monad, but only 2 are showing on there. All of the other records from that day appear to have come though ok!
