Since the maintenance undertaken yesterday, I can't upload pictures onto my sightings, either whilst inputting them or at a later time. Is anyone else experiencing this? If not, I need to look at my hardware/software!
I've uploaded some records since the site came back online and had no problems. I only upload jpegs, am on a desktop and use Firefox.
Have you tried logging in with a different browser? I have multiple browsers installed -- they are free software after all -- and sometimes if you're having an issue simply switching to another browser fixes it. I don't know if you are familiar with the browser landscape but many browsers are derived from a single source resulting in a hegemony. The dominant group are the Chrome based browsers; Google Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, Brave, Safari etc. Since all the Chrome based browsers are very similar under the hood simply switching from one to another might not be as effective in solving an issue as switching to something like Firefox (or one of its forks like Pale Moon) which is built with different code and uses its own rendering engine..
Personally I would recommend Firefox but if you insist on using a Chrome based browser I'd recommend Vivaldi first with Brave a close second. I also have Pale Moon installed but that's mainly for testing purposes if a site isn't working properly.
What does can't upload images mean? Do you mean the iRecord page is not accepting them when you drag them into the "Photos" drop zone or you are successfully submitting the page with images but they are not appearing on the site?
We kindly ask you to describe the problem with as much detail as possible. Include screenshot and all relevant information to help our team to solve the issue quickly.
Just an update to say that we are aware of this problem and have put some measures in place to stop it happening. However, those fixes are not yet live on the site; we hope to make them live within the next week or so.
