How do I get emails of verification notifications? I can't work out how to do it. So, if one of my records is verified or rejected I'd like an email to let me know please.

If you click on My Account (top-right), you should see an Edit link (next to the View tab). If you click on that and scroll down a bit you should see a section called Email notification settings where you can adjust what you receive and when (click on Advanced notification settings to see more options). Once you've finished making changes, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save.

To receive email notifications for verified or rejected records, check your account settings and enable notification preferences. Ensure your email is updated, and look for an option like "Record Status Updates."

I added my first record on the site just a few days ago.

I know there won't be a definitive answer but in your experience, how long does it take for verifiers to check new observations, please?

@Jane_P It could be anything from days to years, it depends on verification activity in your area for the relevant taxonomic group. That said, we are always working with recording schemes to improve both human-led and automatic verification.

Enable notifications in your account settings to get emails about verified or rejected records. Make sure your email is current, then turn on preferences such as 'Record Status Updates' to stay informed."

Would you like a more formal or casual version?
