I have a site with several species of yellow flowered legumes in close proximity. Can anyone suggest any good guidance and identifying the different species?
A few suggestions:
- The Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland have information on the standard botanical literature and other guidance: https://bsbi.org/identification and https://bsbi.org/plant-id-getting-started
- You could post a photo on Twitter with tags such as #wildflowers or #wildlfowerID
- There are various groups you can join on Facebook where people will help with ID if you post a photo e.g. 'Wildflowers of Britain and Ireland', 'British Wildflowers' or 'The Wildflower Society'
- If you have the iRecord app on a smartphone you can try the automatic image recognition with a photo, which will at the very least point you in the right direction
