I joined an 'activity' for recording a specific taxonomic group and I assumed that I would be able to choose when a record that I entered to appear in the group activity. However, it looks like every record I upload to iRecord now appears in this activity group and there doesn't appear to be any way to select when a record goes into the group. Can anyone help?

Thanks, found it on the app.
Is there any option for this on the web version? I prefer to use the website for uploading spreadsheets straight from Excel.
Also, is there any way to remove the records from the group activity that weren't supposed to be in there?
Thanks

Hi,
In the computer version you need to click on 'Activities' to select the activity where the record will be included. Normally the activity has an icon called 'casual record' or 'enter a casual record' used to include the records by the users. And as I mentioned before, the activity needs to be selected before the inclusion of the record.
If you go directly in 'Record'/'enter a casual record', on the top of the form you will see a 'post to...', yes or no question. There you can also select if the record should be included or not in the activity.

Hi, thanks but the only icon I can see on the activity is 'explore activity records'. Going directly to 'Record' then 'enter a casual record' form there definitely isn't an option to 'post to...' at the top of the form like there is on the app. Any other ideas?

Please ask the owners of the activity to include a button called 'enter a casual record' in 'Group pages'. This should be available only to group members.
This should solve the problem. Otherwise, please contact iRecord team: [email protected]
Hi, If you are using the iRecord app, you need to go to 'Activities' (bottom icon) and select 'not linked to any activity' before recording. The important thing is to always select or deselect the activity before starting to record.
