It's something I have always used, and is stated in the instructions, to indicate that you saw a species but did not get a total. This time trying to save produced an error. I googled the issue where it said use the drop-down menu to say Present. There's no drop-down menu!
Any ideas?

Ignore the Google result - I suspect that is the result of a general what to do rather than anything iRecord specific, because as you point out there isn't a 'present' option on a drop-down menu. The process is still to leave the abundance blank if you don't have a specific count, so I suspect that either a) there was some issue with the website when you were trying to add your record, or b) the issue that prevented the save was actually due to one of the other fields playing up, e.g. the life stage one. Either way, hopefully it has resolved itself by now.
