BTO Breeding codes for bird records

Submitted by SWSEIC on

Recorders can use BTO breeding codes when entering records on the app, but I cannot find an option to do likewise when entering bird records on the website. How does this make sense? Or am I missing something?

On the app if you record a bird species there is a Breeding field which gives a drop-down list of the BTO codes. I don't believe this is available on the website which is frustating.

The taxon-group specific dynamic attributes available through the app are typically mirrored on the website by taxon group-specific forms (Record --> Species group forms). However, where recording schemes have not worked with us to create such forms (as for birds), you are correct that these attributes are unavailble via the website. A solution is to have the casual recording form offer dynamic attributes, and we are currently scoping out this work.

I also note that the general species list form is partly responsive to taxon (found here https://irecord.org.uk/enter-record-list), although the BTO codes are not available currently. I will create a GitHub ticket asking about the possibility of adding them.
