Usually if there is an agg option available it will come up when you start typing, then you add the record as normal. So for example if you have a Marbled Minor agg. to record type in Marbled Minor and the agg will appear. If there are only two options these are sometimes displayed as a one/other, for example Uncertain/Rustic, so it is better to start typing and look for matches rather than type in agg straight away.

There should be these type options for common species that are often recorded as aggs (Grey and Dark Dagger is another that springs to mind), however because records of exact species are more useful some less common aggs might not be available as an option to encourage recorders to try to have the exact species determined.

Ah, in that case obviously you can't do the typing thing I suggested, however the jist should be the same, for most species groups with recognised aggregates you should be able to type in the species field Marbled Minor agg. and it will record. If it doesn't recognise the species, then that is when you might need to just use the casual record form to check if an aggregate is in the system and how it is listed, so that you can use the same format in your spreadsheet.
