We have recently updated the spreadsheet import process for iRecord, and this is now available under the "Record" menu. If you have not used the spreadsheet uploader before we strongly recommend that you read the Help page that explains more about how to use this system.
Please note that this feature is intended to help with the upload of new records. If your spreadsheet contains records that have previously been sent to recording schemes then we would prefer you not to import them into iRecord, as the recording scheme verifiers will have to spend time checking them again and duplications may result. If your spreadsheet contains new records that have not previously been sent in to the recording schemes it’s fine to import them. If in doubt, please check with the relevant scheme organisers first, or contact iRecord.

Upload from spreadsheet working in April
This has been working recently for me Roger. Hope it is working for you again.
Error message: "Saving column mappings failed"
I keep getting the error message "Saving column mappings failed" when I try to upload records in a spreadsheet.
Spreadsheet import
I've just managed to upload one. Took a couple of goes first time just hung at the "checking data" stage and got now-where. Second time it was just very slow at that stage.
A test immediately before that in training mode was quick.
Slower than usual
This morning I uploaded a few hundred records, from a spreadsheet, successfully after a couple of attempts.
Two hours later there is still no sign of my records as far as I can see. I know there is often a delay, but this seems slower than usual.
Some have arrived now
I think 118 of my records have now uploaded. Sure the rest will arrive eventually
Further to my comment on Friday
Two days later and only 118 records of about 300 uploaded have appeared.
Fingers crossed
Over the past 24 hours, I have tried several times to upload records from a spreadsheet. The process failed each time at the final step "checking data" and the following error message was displayed "an error occurred on the server whilst importing your data". I have never experienced any difficulty with uploading before.
