Disappearance of uploaded records from iRecord app

Submitted by mothy10 on

1. App Name (which app are you using)

iRecord App

2. Issue Description (clearly explain the problem you’re experiencing)

Since recent issue with loss of pending records, most uploaded records have now also disappeared. Until yesterday I had uploaded records going back to 05May25. Prior to the update version 6.2.0  (208) I had all of my uploaded records going back several years still available in the app (possibly overloaded?).

In addition, if I upload older records from Pending they do not appear in Uploaded because (presumably) there seems to be a date cut-off.

I also briefly lost all Uploaded records but this seems to have resolved itself

It would be useful to have at least the last few months worth of uploads available.

3. Expected Behaviour (what did you expect to happen instead)

Expected to still see uploads at least as far back as 05May25 but now only go back to 25May25. Hoped to see records from much further back.

4. Steps to Reproduce (list the steps someone can follow to see the issue)

Open Uploaded tab, scroll down to oldest record

5. Date/Time Issue Observed (when did you first notice the issue, provide a specific date if possible)

about 11.30am 29May25

6. Frequency of the Issue (is it consistent or intermittent)
 ongoing

7. Screenshots or Screen Recording (optional – helps illustrate the issue clearly)

8. App Version (which version of the app are you using, check in the app settings or app store)

Version 6.2.1 (210)

9. Device (what phone or tablet are you using, include model and brand)

iPhone SE 2020

10. Operating System Version (The Android or iOS version running on your device)

IOS 18.4.1

11. System Update Status (are any pending Android/iOS updates)

Yes to 18.5.

12. Available Device Storage (how much free storage space does your device currently have)

6Gb of 64Gb

The Uploaded records tab should list all your records from the past. However, if you are offline, it will only show you the records you have stored on the device you're using. After you upload a record, there might be a slight delay (<15mins) until the new record appears in the Uploaded tab. Does it not work for you like that?

Er, no, the uploaded tab now only keeps a very limited date range of records currently going back 9 days.

When I posted on 29/05/25 I only had records going back to 25/05/25. Today, 07/06/25, I can only see records going back to 29/05/25. On the 28/05/25 the records went back to 05/05/25 as mentioned in my first post. Prior to the update 6.2.0 (208) I had all my uploaded records in the tab going back several years.

Any older records (prior to late May 2025) that I have recently uploaded do not show at all suggesting that there is some sort of time cut off happening but it appears to be quite random!

If I upload records from the last few days they appear in uploaded tab almost immediately so I don't think connection is the problem. The records are getting to iRecord ok as I can see them in Explore my Records.

I am currenly running v6.2.2 (211)

I would really like to be able to check back with uploaded records further than 9 days if possible please.

Many thanks.

Thanks. Before I start digging into the code, if you don't have any pending records, can you reinstall the app to see if that changes anything?

Hi, many thanks for your reply and apologies for the delay in responding. I am working on getting the backlog of pending records uploaded. In the meantime I remembered that I also have the app installed on an ipad so had a look there. Was surprised to see that when logged into same account I can see all (well, as far back as I can scroll in a few minutes) my previously uploaded records even though they were uploaded via the phone. The records also have a cloud symbol to the right which those on the phone don’t. App version and ios numbers are the same on both devices so maybe this is a problem that will resolve on the iPhone with a reload or on next update. In the meantime I do now have a way to see the uploaded records without going onto the irecord website.

Thanks again
