Recovering actual numbers for each of my records

I would like to be able to see the numbers for each recording (I have hundreds). I enter them as usual, but can't see them when looking at records.

The reason is that I am considering entering all my diaries (Moth counts to us all) from the mid 50's for a decade or so. IoW and Worcestershire. The STRIKING reduction in catch sizes since then is obvious to us all. Adding these data would allow others to see the differences.....

 

  1. Is it worthwhile?

2. How can I see/examine them??

I think that that sort of historic data is certainly valuable, so if it only exists in your diaries then it would definitely be a good idea to digitise it - my only question before starting would be to make sure that the county moth recorder or biological records centre have access to iRecord so will be able to utilise the data (most do, but some counties have a preferred method for receiving records).

When you got to 'my records', it will only show you about 10-15 of the possible columns relating to your records. If the 'count' field isn't currently displaying then click on the spanner icon on the top right of the record headings and it will bring up a menu that lets you select what headings you want to display and what order they are in. For me, count is number 62 so near the bottom of the list of options. Tick the box for it and then if need be move it along in the order, then you should see the numbers of individuals that you have entered for your recordings.
