I am unable to upload any sightings from the apps still. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and any suggestions as how to rectify this problem? Thanks

Yes, having same problem. Previously, they have sat in pending and eventually you can push them through. Alternatively i have reinstalled the app before and it worked. But you have to re-input those records which is a pain. I’m going to hold on a couple more days to see if it resolves itself.

Hi all, sorry for the issues. After the website migration it has a new URL and the old URLs that the apps use don't work anymore. We are working on a fix, we just need to get the URL redirect rules right and hopefully all will be fine 🙂

The records won't be lost, only the user account and upload features won't work in the meanwhile.
We are working on this on two fronts, the website and the app updates. I have now released these app updates that should fix the issues:
- iRecord App v5.4.2
- iRecord Butterflies v2.2.1
- LERC Wales v5.4.2
- Bloomin' Algae v2.0.7
The updates are available now on Android but it might take up to a few days for Apple to approve the changes. The app should update automatically for most of the users.

Well this is incredible...Success for the first time since middle of October.
I normally only use the Lerc Wales app, but that died on me in October (could not log on "Failed to Fetch"). It was suggested I test the iRecord app which I never had used, and I got the same error.
I last gave it a try on the 11 November and just by chance today decided to have a look again, and try again today, but it still was not working.
Then I saw this thread and saw there are new updates both Android updates are working.
Too freaky. I never bother to look at forums usually....

I’ve seen the thread above about the mobile app not working, I use iPhone and have tried to up update the mobile app to version 5.4.2. But this version does not seem to be available yet for iPhone. Is there any news on when it’ll be available? Thanks.

I've got version 5.4.2 on a new phone and it's not working - I just get the opening splash screen ('iRecord app' text, dragonfly bouncing across it, logos at the bottom) and it never progresses past that point. Samsung Galaxy S21 5G, Android 12. Oddly it works fine on my other phone (version 5.4.2 on a Samsung S10 running Android 11)

My app freezes at the splash screen.

OK, we have found the issue, this affects iRecord App and LERC Wales apps on Android only. We have fixed it now and pushed an update to the Play Store - the version that has this fix is v5.4.3 and should come out fairly soon once the store finishes reviewing the update.
