Activities do not seem to complete a filter or run separate tabs without timing out

I uploaded a file of records in an Activity and all went well. I know they have arrived because the verifier responded with some helpful comments which will require me to edit some records. Back to the Activity and select the species, ask for all records to be displayed (accepted, pending, queried, rejected etc.) and of the half dozen records only one was shown - and that one was one which did not need correcting.
The verifier has seen the records so they are there. Is anyone else experiencing such a problem?
