I would appreciate very much if in one's personal settings you could get the date in tables (or other places) always appearing in form yyyy-mm-dd (or even yyyymmdd). This format is international in programming terms. To me yyyy-mm-dd is much more convenient to read as the larger quantity is on the left. Additionally it sorts as raw text chronologically which is convenient for how I work often such as command line output on Linux or basic programming. The basic format yyyymmdd without separators is narrower so more likely fits on a page & with practice easy to read. I know the British like to write dd/mm/yyyy but while conventional it is not a good design as I know it compared with yyyy-mm-dd.
