Ready to give up

Pretty much ready to give up with  irecord.

Unable to add photos when requested to.

Unable to find records to edit.

Do not find the help pages very helpful for the above issues.

It's a shame as I understand many people use the system.

Just spent an hour and half inputting records and (still) after two hours they haven't appeared in 'Explore My Records'. What has the update done?

I think something's gone wrong with the last set of changes - since it came online again (about 3pm today I think) there have been no new records. I've submitted two and nothing has come through. Nothing new when you look at 'all records'. Either they're all queued or they're just not submitting.

 

I'm sure it'll be resolved soon.

Hello,

Thank you very much for reporting this. With the update to the UK Species Inventory, records already held in iRecord need to be re-indexed to point towards the correct taxonomy. This is causing the queue for indexing and scheduled tasks to be much longer than usual and so there are delays with records appearing on the explore pages. These records are stored in the system.
