This is an irritating and puzzling glitch.
If you add stage "adult" and then make a subsequent entry for sex (eg male) the entry for stage goes blank and you have to re-enter it before the record can be saved. If you edit the record to change the sex (eg female), the stage field again goes blank and has to be re-entered.

Thank you very much for reporting this - this is a result of the recent update to the UK Species Inventory that we are currently investigating. I apologise for the difficulty in using iRecord in the meantime, we will resolve this as soon as possible.
I have experienced this issue with the 'stage' field. It's not catastrophic but as you say, an irritating glitch.
