Would it be possible to have at least some basic formatting for comments entered on the "Enter a * record" pages. I've recently added a comment to one my records relating to help identifying the specimen that ran to four short paragraphs (each just a sentence or two) and it looks fine on the enter a record page. When I view the submitted record the four paragraphs have merged into a single block of text which is much harder to read.
I understand the need to sanitize input for security reasons but surely you could whitelist a few tags like carriage return, bold and italic or allow some very basic markdown. Simply retaining paragraph formatting would make a huge difference to legibility and wouldn't involve any changes to the UI.
