We have added a few items to the resources for verifiers page.
Sample bulk verification
This refers to a new button that is now available on the verification page itself. It is most relevant for butterfly verifiers, but may apply to other species groups in some cases. It is intended to help deal with multiple records of the same species from the same site on the same date, such as for Butterfly Transects, where the same species may be recorded multiple times on different sections of the same transect. A guidance document and video guide are available.
Grid column settings
It is possible to change the columns that are shown on your verification page, using the "grid column settings" button. A short video guide shows how to do this.
Keyboard shortcuts
These have been in place for a while now but we know from the recent consultations that not everyone is aware of them. If you are happy using keyboard shortcuts they can make it quicker to navigate between records and photos on the verification page. The text guidance has been available for some time, and we have now added a video guide. See "Keyboard shortcuts for the verification page" towards the bottom of the resources for verifiers page.
Many thanks to all verifiers who have taken part in the recent consultations via Butterfly Conservation's "Supporting Science" project (for butterflies and moths) and via the more recent project (for other taxon groups) as part of our work with Natural England's "Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment Programme". More updates are nearing completion and will be announced shortly.
