If I enter a record with a mobile phone photo the location data from the photo is never used, instead the app just uses my saved location which is my house (this may be because I'm at my house at the time). This is very annoying and time consuming as I need to manually find the actual location each time. Does anyone know how to get the photo data to determine the location?
I record on the iRecord Butterfly App in the field using the auto-generated correct location, finish the record in the field then upload the records at home. Sometimes I attach photos in the field, sometimes before uploading at home.
Another solution, but more longwinded, would be to screenshot the OS Locate grid ref & enter that at home.
I doubt whether you could use the photo location but I'll maybe be proved wrong!
