Not accepted and un verified records.

Hello,
I have a number of not accepted records should I delete them from the data base.
Also the comment from the expert was that a specimen was required for identification what would the procedure be?

Hi.

The short answer is no, there is no need to go back and delete not-accepted records from the database. One reason is that as our knowledge of species improves, it might be that someone can revisit some of the records and still get useful data out of them.

If someone has said that a specimen was required for identification then effectively what they are saying is that if you have attached a photograph or multiple photographs they do not show all of the relevant bits needed to identify it, so although you might be right, the expert cannot be sure. You don't need to do anything in terms of procedure, unless you are very keen and in future want to catch and examine the species.
