How do I get a species name added so that records of it can be entered?

The ant species Strumigenys perplexa has recently been recorded at several outdoor locatons on the island of Guernsey. It is likely that it will be found on the mainland soon. At present records for this species cannot be made on iRecord because the species name Strumigenys perplexa is not yet available. How do I get this species added so that records can be entered?

iRecord uses the UK Species Inventory which is managed by Chris Raper at the NHM. I'd imagine he gets his ant checklist from elsewhere though (maybe BWARS). Perhaps contact him and see what he says?

The species has now been added. I noticed though that it is listed in the family Hymenoptera instead of Formicidae. This means that as a verify of ant records I don't get to see any records of this species. I have pointed out this problem and expect it to fixed soon.
