I wanted to record a dark bush cricket. Clicked on the name which came up but it told me the taxon must be specific. So why list it if it won't be accepted?
Hi Ray. I would try again, start typing Dark Bush-cricket and the name will come up in a dark blue box below your typing. Make sure you click on the name in the dark box, and then fill in the details and submit as normal.
I think this error usually comes up if it doesn't register that you have clicked on the name when it appears in the box below (that is the 'specific' bit), so even if your typing is still in the text box it won't work.
