How do I add previously entered records to an activity?

Activities are good if you want several people to contribute data for a location. The activity admin(s) can download all the data. If you don't have an activity but just draw a polygon, you will see all the data that people have entered but you won't be able to download it.
So it depends on what you want to do.

My understanding is that if your activity is set up with a form, i.e. you have to select that you are adding records to the activity, then you can't change records you have already entered generally into your activity. There are different types of activity however - I have one for my local patch that selects any records within the area (defined by me as a polygon) from any person, regardless of when the record was added or what entry form they used.
