I'm not sure how to address the matter in the subject line.
I have been seeing various crab spiders (misumena vatia I believe) in and around my garden in the past couple of years. My neighbour, who is an ecologist, has also seen them around over a longer period ( he's much more observant than I am)
So, How does an item with that description progress beyond the " grid outside modern range" response?

Most spider records go to the Spider Recording Scheme, with a minority coming to iRecord. This means that you have a good chance of being the first to submit a record for a 10km square. On the other hand that message seems very strange. Did you submit a grid reference or latitude-longitude? Longitude values change their sign as they cross the meridian which can convert Mid-Wales into the North Sea.
