Genus not in drop-down list

Submitted by moremoth on

The genus Lepiseodina is not in the drop-down list.  Can it be added?

I found a moth fly in my moth trap and used the obsidentify app on it.  This put the record automatically on the Observation.org site where Weia Reinboud, validator for Flies (Diptera) on the Observation.org site, wrote that it was Lepiseodina latipennis.  But I can't add this to iRecord other than as a generic Psychodidae.  I have done this and put the full name in the comment, but this is not ideal.

I'm not a fly person, but I found this:

Lepiseodina latipennis doesn't show up on NBN Atlas.  The genus Telmatoscopus which is there is there includes many species that have been reclassified as Lepiseodina .  I suspect latipennis was one of them.  The type specimen for that is from Italy and it has only just been found in Germany, so I suspect it hasn't been reported before from the UK.
