The entering of a spatial reference seems to have suddenly developed bizzare aspects now. Using the map to zoom (+) it flips to Irish Grid instead of British National Grid, and just seems to go crazy for all the numeric location parameters. The whole aspect of trying to use the map to input a grid ref is unstable and erratic for want of a better description. And on entry of subsequent records for similar locations, it zooms out to a ridiculous, but to one side on the map, and then with further records sometimes zooms out as far as a UK map only. It's almost unusable.
