Activities - non activity enter a casual record form

Submitted by iancarle on

I've set up an activity for a county based recording group. Several of my recorders have entered records using the casual recording form rather than going through the activities menu. The casual recording form allows the user to choose to allocate the records to the activity, but it doesn't allow that field to be locked and this field re sets after every record entry. This means each time they enter a record this way they have to remember to allocate it to the activity. As a result lots of records are going in to general iRecord rather than the activity.

Suggestions - allow the user to lock the 'record destination field' on the casual record form or remove the ability to allocate records from this form to an activity,. Given we all make mistakes when entering records can we enable the user to edit their record afterwards and allocate it to the activity. At the moment the only way to do this seems to be to delete the record and re enter it with the correct activity selected - which activity it's allocated to doesn't impact the verification of the record so hopefully there's a way this can be done without triggering a notification to verifiers that a record has changed.
